Former USC LB Osa Masina sentenced to prison for sexual battery

Following up on a story from earlier this year, former USC Trojans linebacker Osa Masina has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of misdemeanor sexual battery.

TMZ Sports has some more alarming details on the crime that will likely ultimately imprison Masina for one calendar year.

Masina, a four-star recruit of the Trojans from Utah back in 2015, played one season in Southern California. He recorded 25 tackles and a touchdown as a freshman that year.

“Masina reportedly apologized to the victim and her family, took full responsibility for his actions, and was immediately taken into custody,” TMZ Sports noted on Tuesday.

In reality, it seems that the former college linebacker got off light. One year in prison and two years of probation doesn’t seem to be representation of the punishment fitting the crime here.
