Conor McGregor wants ‘a real fight,’ says MMA is next up for him

Conor McGregor ejected at Bellator 187

Despite rumblings that Manny Pacquiao is angling for a boxing match against Conor McGregor, The Notorious isn’t keen on entering the ring again next.

While signing autographs for his fans, McGregor was approached by TMZ Sports. He was asked if he will box again and said, “We’ll see what happens.”

When what he wants to do next. He said, “I think a true fight is what I want to do next… A real fight.”

McGregor was asked to clarify that remark. He made it clear by saying, “MMA next.”

It appears Floyd Mayweather might have soured McGregor a bit on the sweet science. Instead, he’s eager to get back in the Octagon where his skills as an MMA fighter translate best. He’s still the reigning champion of UFC’s lightweight division and is always a huge draw for pay-per-view.

Besides, given his recent exploits at a Bellator event, we should have seen this coming. McGregor is itching to get back to his first love.
