Following the firing of Sashi Brown, the Cleveland Browns are moving on quickly and are set to hire John Dorsey as the new general manager (which you can read about here). The process, or lack thereof, has John Wooten, the chairman of the Fritz Pollard alliance, concerned.
John Wooten, chairman of Fritz Pollard Alliance, is concerned about Browns’ hiring process. “I’m deeply bothered by it,” Wooten said. “I’ll be talking to the league about it because it bothers me. It doesn’t seem right. Why wouldn’t you interview one of the recommended people?”

It is worth noting that while the firing happened on Thursday, it appears to be a longer process than just that. According to Jason La Canfora, many people, including head coach Hue Jackson, have been talked to.
Browns have been working internally on a new GM for several weeks. Spoke to Hue Jackson about it. This didn't just all go down today

Certainly, this is an issue that we’ll hear more about in the coming days and weeks. If the Browns didn’t follow the proper procedures, they’ll not only be punished, but it will also be another black eye on a franchise that’s grown all too used to them.
