Bruce Arians: Doctors have not cleared Adrian Peterson

Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson in NFL Week 6

The Arizona Cardinals will likely be without future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

Peterson missed the Cards’ Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams with a neck injury. And according to head coach Bruce Arians, he has not yet been by doctors to return to the practice field.

At 5-7 on the season, Arizona is three games out of the final wildcard spot in the NFC. It’s in this that having Peterson on the field likely isn’t going to make or break what already appears to be a lost season in the desert.

Since coming over from New Orleans in a trade earlier this season, Peterson has put up 448 rushing yards in six games.

He helped rejuvenate a rushing attack that was struggling a whole heck of a lot following the season-ending injury to All-Pro running back David Johnson back in Week 1. It remains to be seen if Peterson will play again this season.
