A.J. Bouye on Seahawks: Jags ‘pissed,’ score should have been 30-3

Jaguars cornerback A.J. Bouye

Thanks to three second half touchdown passes from Russell Wilson, the Jacksonville Jaguars had to sweat out the final minutes of their 30-24 win against the Seattle Seahawks. After the game, that fact was not lost on Jaguars defensive back A.J. Bouye, who was not happy with how his team finished.

The touchdowns were all long ones.

Wilson found Doug Baldwin on a 26-yard touchdown in the third quarter, which tied the game at 10-10. Then, after the Jags had built a 27-10 lead, Wilson connected with Paul Richardson on a 61-yard strike. Finally, Wilson and Tyler Lockett hooked up on a 74-yarder with 3:24 to go.

At the end of the day, big players are going to make big plays. Anyone who’s watched Wilson knows that he can create those kind of plays. So, while we understand Bouye’s frustration, it’s hard to say that it should have been 30-3.

When all’s said and done, though, a 30-24 win counts just as much as a 30-3 win does.
