Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman underwent successful surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon, and he documented his experience to share with his fans.
In a short video for The Players’ Tribune that Sherman shared on Friday, he said he’s “excited to bounce back,” and vowed to “come back faster than ever.”
“I’m breaking records on how fast I come back,” Sherman said.
The video he shared is very cool, offering a first-hand perspective of his experience at the hospital. He’s already excited about the recovery process and is obviously not letting this injury get him down.
Surgery is done! Watch the video to see what my hospital visit was like.

Sherman said on Thursday he expects to be back in time for training camp, which would put his recovery time very much on the fast track.
