Report: Chicago will host 2020 NBA All-Star Game

For the first time in what will be 32 years, the Chicago Bulls are reportedly in line to host the NBA All-Star Game in 2020.

Nick Friedell of ESPN reported the news.

The Bulls also announced a press conference on Friday at 2 pm Central time, when the official announcement will presumably be made.

This will be the third All-Star Game hosted in Chicago and the first at the United Center. The game’s previous two trips to The Second City (1973, 1988) were played at the old Chicago Stadium. While there have been exceptions, the All-Star Game has generally been played in warm weather cities in recent years.

The 2018 game will be played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, while 2019’s game will come from Charlotte’s Spectrum Center.
