Rams lose Robert Woods for a couple weeks to shoulder injury

The Los Angeles Rams will be without top wide receiver Robert Woods for a couple weeks as he recovers from the shoulder injury that knocked him out of Sunday’s game.

Head coach Sean McVay shared his thoughts on the injury on Monday.

Woods has come on like a freight train at full speed for the Rams of late. Before exiting Sunday’s game he had eight catches for 80 yards. In the two games before that, he hauled in 12 passes for 241 yards and four touchdowns.

So far this year, Woods has 47 receptions for 703 yards and four touchdowns.

The Rams host the red-hot New Orleans Saints Sunday and then hit the road in Week 13 for a date with the Arizona Cardinals. Assuming Woods comes back after two weeks of rest, he’d be available to the Rams in Week 14 when they host the NFC-leading Philadelphia Eagles.
