Much like the rest of the NFL, the San Francisco 49ers are paying their respects to the United States Military during November’s Salute to Service month. We’re seeing a lot of amazing tributes on Sunday — one day after Veterans Day.
The 49ers themselves are no different.

The NFL currently finds itself embroiled in a National Anthem controversy that has existed since August of 2016, when former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started the protest during the preseason. Some will conclude that celebrating this nation’s military while in the midst of said protests isn’t a great look. But whenever those with a platform can help support a cause like this, it should never be considered a bad thing.
