Jay Cutler misses practice due to concussion

Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler

Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler missed practice on Wednesday while dealing with the same concussion that forced him out of Week 11’s game early.

Alain Poupart of Dolphins.com reported that Cutler was one of five Miami players who missed practice. Linebacker Stephone Anthony, guard Jermon Bushrod, defensive end William Hayes and tackle Laremy Tunsil sat out along with Cutler.

Cutler was sidelined during Week 11’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Prior to his injury, he was 6-for-12 for 83 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

If Cutler isn’t cleared by the end of the week, Matt Moore will be under center for Miami’s road game against the New England Patriots.

Moore led the Dolphins to a comeback victory over the New York Jets in Week 7 but threw two interceptions in a 40-point shutout loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the following game.
