Hue Jackson praises Josh Gordon: ‘He’s a pleasure to be around

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is one step closer to joining his teammates. According to Hue Jackson, Gordon will start practicing with his team on Monday.

It would also appear that Jackson is very pleased so far with Gordon, who has only been able to individually work out with the team’s trainers.

“He’s doing well,” said Jackson, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “He’s here in the building every day, on time for everything, involved and big smile on his face. He’s a pleasure to be around.”

Gordon will be allowed to catch passes from quarterback DeShone Kizer on Monday and practice fully with the Browns on Wednesday. He is eligible at this point to play in the Browns’ last five games of the season.

Gordon’s teammates are also happy to have him back in action.

“Me and JG talk every day,” said Corey Coleman. “He’s back on track and I’m excited to play with him.”

It is nice to have some positive news to report when it comes to Gordon. The 26-year-old receiver has not suited up for a game with the Browns since 2014. He spent the entire 2015-16 serving a suspension for multiple violations of the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
