Tom Brady on playing Sunday: ‘I’ll be there’

A smirking Tom Brady made his way to the podium on Wednesday to talk about his New England Patriots upcoming game against the New York Jets.

Dealing with a shoulder injury to his non-throwing arm, Brady knew exactly what type of questions were going to be thrown his way.

Within a minute, the five-time champion squashed any thought that he wouldn’t be able to go in a game that’s now a battle for first place in the AFC East.

“I’ll be there Sunday,” Brady said.

And so ends 30 hours of speculation about Brady’s injury. Here’s a quarterback that has missed a total of 15 games to injury since taking over as the Patriots’ starter back in 2001. That came in 2008 when he tore his ACL in the season opener.

Needless to say, there’s no real reason to be concerned over this latest injury. Brady will be just fine.
