Richard Sherman sends prayers to Aaron Rodgers after injury

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was carted off the field Sunday after being driven into the ground by Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr.

The injury in question is said to be to Rodgers’ throwing shoulder, which is a clear indication that it could have wide-ranging ramifications.

While Rodgers is officially listed as questionable to return, a least one All-Pro NFL player is sending his prayers the way of the Packers’ former MVP.

Self-defined as a student of the game, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman knows just how much better the NFL is when Rodgers is healthy and performing at a high level. Rodgers and the Packers defeated Sherman’s Seahawks in Week 1.

It’s the ultimate show of respect from one all-time great to another. After all, the NFL is a brotherhood. And no one wants to see someone of Rodgers’ ilk go down to a serious injury.

As noted before, we’ll have further updates on the injury as they become available.
