NaVorro Bowman to start for Raiders just days after being signed

The Oakland Raiders host the Kansas Chiefs for Thursday Night Football in a huge AFC West matchup that could pretty much end the Raiders’ division title expections.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the newly signed NaVorro Bowman is reportedly up to speed enough to start for a team he signed with just three days ago.

This is quite incredible. The only team Bowman has ever played with was the San Francisco 49ers who released him on October 13. The four-time All Pro was was selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

During his tenure with the 49ers, Bowman played in a total of 89 games. The 29-year-old linebacker tallied 708 combined tackles, 12.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles and four interceptions.

He now takes his talents to Oakland, where the team’s defense has been downright atrocious this season. The hope here is that Bowman can make an immediate impact.
