Early on Saturday, reports emerged that University of Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson was being forced out of his position. According to those reports, school president Wallace Loh was upset that Anderson sought the Cal job.

Per this report, Anderson would be placed on administrative leave while still remaining on the payroll through August of 2018 as part of a severance package.
After hearing of these reports, the university responded, essentially call it it fake news.
