Look: Deshaun Watson sporting Warren Moon Oilers jersey

If Deshaun Watson isn’t already the toast of Houston, it will happen here soon. The rookie Texans quarterback has put up 10 total touchdowns over the past two games. He’s been about as dynamic as it comes on the field.

Off the field, Watson is out there donating game checks and helping people refurnish their houses following the devastating Hurricane Harvey.

If that weren’t enough to endear himself to fans, check out what Watson wore to the stadium prior to Sunday’s home game against the Cleveland Browns.

Yes. That’s a Warren Moon No. 1 Houston Oilers jersey. How cool is this?

There was a certain bit of confusion going on when this was posted. Aren’t the Oilers now the Tennessee Titans? If so, why is he wearing a jersey of a division rival?

Okay, that’s the definition of being skeptical in a skeptical world. All Watson was doing here is paying homage to one of the greatest players in the history of Houston football.

A Hall of Famer, Moon starred for the then Oilers from 1984-1992, leading the team to six consecutive playoff appearances to close out his career with the franchise.

Good on Watson for recognizing the historical significance here.
