The hits keep coming for the winless New York Giants following their latest loss. On the heels of confirmation that Odell Beckham Jr. will miss the remainder of the season with a fractured ankle, comes more sobering information.
According to NFL Media’s Kimberly Jones, fellow wide receiver Brandon Marshall suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and is expected to miss multiple weeks of action.
#NYG bracing for Brandon Marshall to miss multiple games with ankle injury. Yesterday was a day that defies explanation.

Marshall, 33, has had a hard time finding a connection with Eli Manning in his first season with the Giants. He’s caught a grand total of 18 passes for 154 yards in five games.
Despite the lack of production, the Giants were set to rely on Marshall following the OBJ injury news. It’s also important to note here that second-year pass catcher Sterling Shepard went down with an ankle injury on Sunday. Though, MRI results came back negative and he’s considered day-to-day.
In any event, the Giants’ 2017 season has now turned from miserable to downright disastrous.
