Driver who injured Patriots’ Harvey Langi facing drug and alcohol charges

Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi

Earlier this month, New England Patriots rookie linebacker Harvey Langi and his wife were seriously injured in an automobile accident.

Not much has come out regarding the situation at hand outside of the fact that Langi’s wife, Cassidy, remains hospitalized and the undrafted free agent from BYU has been listed as out with a back injury since the accident.

Now comes this report from the Boston Herald noting that Kevin M. Conroy, 25, from Millis has been charged with multiple crimes stemming from the accident in question.

“A 25-year-old Millis man faces multiple charges — including illegal possession of prescription drugs and having an open container of alcohol in the car — in connection with a crash that hospitalized five people, including rookie Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi and his wife, Cassidy,” the Herald reported Monday.

According to the report, “Conroy had the pain medication Gabapentin, anti-psychotic Quetipine, and muscle relaxant Baclofen on him at the time of the crash.” In addition to this, the suspect had an open container of alcohol in the car. That’s against Massachusetts state law.

Conroy was not arrested at the scene of the accident. Instead, he was summoned to report to court at later date, according to Foxboro police Chief William Baker.

It remains to be seen how much jail time he cases if convicted.
