Derek Jeter: Marlins donating $200K to hurricane relief effort

Derek Jeter made a huge announcement Saturday night during J.Lo and Marc Anthony’s Hurricane Maria disaster relief concert, SOMOS Live!, which is “an alliance of artists working together to rush food, shelter, medicine, power and communications to those in need from the effects of the recent natural disasters.”

The event was held at Marlins Park, and a huge crowd turned out for the benefit concert.

The money raised will directly help the people of Puerto Rico, who are still mostly without electricity, and many of whom are still without running water in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
