Report: Justin Timberlake nearing deal to perform at Super Bowl halftime

We know the question everyone is asking is whether Janet Jackson will be on stage with him. That’s something likely to be hashed out between now and the Super Bowl in Minnesota this upcoming February.

Either way, 1o-time Grammy winner Justin Timberlake will reportedly make his return to the Super Bowl halftime show after a 13-year hiatus.

According to Us Weekly, Timberlake is finalizing a deal to perform at halftime of Super Bowl LII in Minnesota in February.

In terms of entertainment and star value, the NFL itself couldn’t have done much better here. The league had in the past been criticized for bringing in over-the-hill performers or pop stars to do the annual halftime show, both of whom don’t necessarily cater to the demographics of the NFL audience.

In Timberlake, the NFL will be getting someone who has made the transformation from pop status to the R&B stage since leaving NSYNC.

Let’s just hope there’s no wardrobe malfunction to speak of this time around.
