Moments before Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott buried a 61-yard kick to win Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, quarterback Carson Wentz said that he’d give Elliott his game check if the rookie made the kick.
On Wednesday, Wentz tweeted that he and Elliot had agreed to give the money to a charity of Elliott’s choosing.
Just to set things straight:
My man @jake_elliott22 and I are excited to be donating and helping out a charity of his choice!

Elliott retweeded Wentz’s tweet and also confirmed he agreement to reporters (per Charean Williams, Pro Football Talk).
This seems like a good solution for all involved. Wentz will certainly make good on his vow, while the money will go to a worthy cause.
