WATCH: Jon Rahm hits incredible backhanded shot from hazard at PGA Championship

Jon Rahm

Playing the 18th hole of the PGA Championship on Sunday, Jon Rahm hit his approach shot into the greenside hazard. The good news for Rahm was that the ball didn’t actually go into the water. Unfortunately, it was too close to the water for Rahm, a right-handed golfer to build a stance.

So, what was Rahm to do? Rather than try a funky stance from the right-handed side, Rahm went to the other side of the ball, turned his back to the green, and hit the shot backhanded. The results were quite impressive.

Unfortunately, Rahm still made bogey on the hole and finished well out of contention.

But even in a bad week, Rahm hit a shot that reminded us of the old saying, “These guys are good.”
