Music superstar Beyoncé has apparently decided to put her hat in the ring and make a pitch to buy the Houston Rockets. This isn’t necessarily a huge surprise, especially considering Beyoncé herself is a Houston native and a big-time Rockets fan.
Now, at least one Rockets player would be all for Beyoncé buying the team.
“That would be lovely,” forward Trevor Ariza told TMZ Sports. “But I have no say so in that matter.”
It’s hard to argue that Ariza doesn’t have an ulterior motive here. What true-blooded American man would not want Beyoncé to frequent his place of employment consistently?
For her part, Beyoncé’s share in the Rockets wouldn’t necessarily be too big if she were able to join and ownership group to buy the team. But she would surely be the face of the franchise, even more so than James Harden or Chris Paul.
