Report: Everyone in Chiefs organization is happy with Pat Mahomes

Kansas City Chiefs first-round pick Patrick Mahomes has a pretty hilarious response to a Twitter troll.

Kansas City Chiefs rooking quarterback Patrick Mahomes will make his debut this upcoming Friday against the San Francisco 49ers. Mahomes has been a hot news headline ever since the Chiefs surprisingly moved up to select him at No. 10 overall in April’s draft.

According to a report by Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star, it sounds like fans are in for a real treat when Mahomes takes center stage.  Per Paylor, Mahomes has been impressive in training camp and “everyone in the organization, from the highest level on down, is happy with his progress.”

Of course, Alex Smith is still the team’s starter. But Smith seems to be on borrowed time with the Chiefs. In fact, the Chiefs won’t commit to him beyond the 2017 season.

Mahomes, who the team aggressively made sure to secure, is the future in Kansas City. That future starts Friday against San Francisco.
