Ohio State suspends starting DT Michael Hill a ‘few games’

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer dropped some big-time news Monday during his press conference, which is that Michael Hill has been suspended.

The coach declined to give the reason for the suspension and the exact length it entails, instead saying it will be for “the first few games of the season,” per Tim Bielik of Cleveland.com.

Hill is a projected starter on the Buckeyes’ uber-talented defensive one — one defensive coordinator Greg Schiano said is better than any he coached at the NFL level.

One of six fifth-year seniors on the team, the 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive tackle registered 21 tackles, including 3.5 for a loss last season, appearing in 11 games.
