Myles Garrett showed some flashes of greatness in his professional debut on Thursday, but Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson was focused on something else.
During practice on Saturday, Garrett and teammate Joel Bitonio were both pulled off the field after they incurred penalties. It was a carryover effect from the game Thursday, and Jackson wasn’t having any of it.

It’s a critical lesson to learn. And one that’s best learned early in preseason, rather than when the games count.
Garrett has all the natural talent in the world. But achieving at the highest level in the pro game takes just as much discipline. This is obviously the lesson to be learned here as Garrett continues to learn how to be a professional.
