Giants head coach rewards team with Air Jordan’s for remaining out of trouble

Ben McAdoo New York Giants

Everyone down to feisty New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has reportedly stayed out of trouble the whole offseason. For that, head coach Ben McAdoo rewarded his team’s good behavior.

McAdoo proved he had pretty hip taste when he rewarded each of his Giants players with a slick new pair of Air Jordan 4 sneakers for staying “off the ticker.” In ticker, McAdoo means that little revolving news headline at the bottom of the sports stations.

Defensive tackle Jay Bromley had this to say about McAdoo’s reward system.

“We did what we were supposed to do,” defensive tackle Jay Bromley told Dan Duggan of NJ Advance Media. “We stayed off the ticker. We kept the main thing the main thing, as Coach McAdoo likes to say. And we got rewarded for it, like any parent does. When your children do what they’re supposed to do, they get rewarded for it.”

Bromley also paid a huge compliment to McAdoo.

“Coach McAdoo is fly sometimes,” Bromley said. “He has some J’s (Jordans) on so he decided to show us some love and get us all a pair of J’s. I didn’t have those yet, so I’m definitely grateful for it and look forward to rocking them.”

It is great to see Giants players stay clean and out of trouble heading into the 2017 season. Thankfully, there were no chartered booze cruises to Miami, much like some players decided to take right before the playoffs in January.

McAdoo’s Giants look quite hyped to start the new season out on a positive note. They’ll now look to build off last season’s 11-5 mark and compete with Dallas in the NFC East this upcoming fall.
