The San Diego Padres are suffering through a rough season. But their ball girls are some of the most athletic in all of baseball. Just ask Minnesota Twins shortstop Eduardo Escobar.

During the seventh inning of Tuesday’s game, Escobar lined a foul ball down the right field line. The ball girl popped up to make a leaping catch, drawing a stunned reaction from the Twins’ shortstop.

The ball girl clearly expected to make the play. Nothing about her reaction even hinted at a surprise, or anything like that. Maybe she expected it. But it’s still not a play we see very often. Wow, indeed.
