As a comedian, Dave Chappelle is used to being the one telling jokes. But thanks to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chappelle got to be on the other side.
In 2013, Chappelle visited the Target Center. That year also happened to be when the arena underwent a significant renovation project. With Chappelle back in Minnesota on his tour, the Timberwolves took to Twitter to thank Chappelle for all of the bricks he laid at the beginning of the renovation process.
Welcome back to 'Sota, @DaveChappelle. Thanks to those bricks you laid back in 2013, the @TargetCenterMN Renovations are almost complete! https://t.co/DIXfXCrTOJ

Chappelle hasn’t tweeted anything since 2012 but don’t be surprised if he breaks that trend. At the very least, some response should be expected in his act. Given that Minnesota hasn’t made the playoffs since 2004 and has won two playoff series in its history, Chappelle should have plenty of ammunition for a good comeback.
