Report: Warriors to offer Andre Iguodala three-year deal at $13-$15 million per

The Warriors are reportedly offering Andre Iguodala $13-$15 million per season.

Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala met with the Houston Rockets on Saturday, at which point he apparently cancelled his remaining free agent stops.

In the end, Houston offered Iggy a contract.

This led to some speculation that Iguodala might move on from the defending champs for a shot at playing with Chris Paul and James Harden.

That’s what we would call putting the cart before the horse.

Now, according to Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group, the Warriors are meeting with Iguodala in Los Angeles on Saturday. They are also coming strong with a reported three-year contract offer at between $13 and $15 million annually.

Golden State has already re-signed Stephen Curry, Shaun Livingston and David West in the opening hours of free agency. For his part, Curry received the largest contract in Association history at five years and $201 million (more on that here).

Adding a third year to their offer is pretty interesting in that Klay Thompson is also set to become a free agent that year. It’s an offer Iguodala himself is unlikely to turn down.
