Former Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Michael Oher is not having a great week.

Following his release from the team on Thursday, Oher has now been sued in connection with his alleged misdemeanor assault of an Uber driver back in April.

According to the Associated Press (h/t ESPN), Girma Berkessa claimed Oher was “extremely intoxicated” when he pushed him to the ground. Berkessa said Oher kicked him and used several homophobic slurs.

Per the report, the complaint cites Oher “acted maliciously, intentionally, willfully, wantonly, recklessly and/or negligently.”

Oher’s attorneys have not yet responded with comment. According to the report, Oher’s hearing that was to be held Friday got postponed to October 31.

Unfortunately, Oher’s eight-year career appears to have finished on quite the negative note. Oher was the 23rd overall pick in the 2009 draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He is famously known as the subject of the movie the Blind Side.
