Mike Zimmer doesn’t seem pleased with the lack of progress as it concerns the health of running back Latavius Murray, who has yet to be cleared to practice.
Speaking with media Monday, the Minnesota Vikings head coach said there is currently no timetable for Murray’s return.
Coach Zimmer says he doesn't know yet when @LataviusM will return to the field. Still waiting on the green light from doctors.

Mike Zimmer says he doesn't know when Latavius Murray might be ready. "He is a smart guy but he needs to get healthy.''

Murray opened camp on the PUP list after spending the entire offseason unable to practice with the team following ankle surgery. The original timetable for Murray’s return was that he’d be healthy enough for training camp. Obviously that hasn’t happened.
The Vikings signed Murray away from the Oakland Raiders this March. He inked a three-year deal worth $15 million, including $8.55 million guaranteed.
Every day that Murray is not practicing with the team is another day that Dalvin Cook appears to be taking over the starting job, possibly for good. That said, there’s no doubt Zimmer would feel better if he had a veteran who could either start or be ready to start if the rookie out of Florida State either can’t handle the job or gets injured.
