Chicago Cubs superstar third baseman Kris Bryant will not have to miss extended time after an X-ray of his left pinkie revealed no fracture or break.
Instead, Bryant will be day-to-day with a sprained left pinkie, per Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune.

This is obviously fantastic news for Bryant and the Cubs, who haven’t been setting the MLB world on fire this season as they deal with an extended World Series hangover.
Chicago has won seven of its last 10 games, and Bryant has been hot since the All-Star break with seven hits in his 17 at-bats. Hopefully he can make a swift return.
