ESPYs winner Jarrius Robertson has GoFundMe to help pay for medical expenses

Jarrius Robertson and family at ESPYs Red Carpet

One of the biggest stars at the 2017 ESPYs came in a small package. Jimmy V Perseverance Award winner Jarrius Robertson wowed on the Red Carpet with his magnetic personality and humongous smile.

The award couldn’t have gone to a better person this year, as the New Orleans Saints superfan has touched so many lives through his struggle.

One of the side stories leading up to the ESPYs was that Saints owners Tom and Gayle Benson teamed up with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to give $50,000 to help with Robertson’s ongoing medical care.

That’s certainly a lot of money. However, because of the nature of Roberton’s chronic liver disease, biliary atresia, it’s only scratching the surface when it comes to paying for the medical care he needs. Because of their needs, the Robertson family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for his ongoing medical treatment.

The goal they’ve set up is a staggering $250,000, and to this point, 674 people have helped raise a total of $33,793 the past eight months.

Clearly, more help is needed. So, if this young man happened to touch your heart as you watched him receive the Jimmy V Perseverance Award Wednesday night, perhaps consider helping him and his family out with some financial aid.
