Dez Bryant sick of questions about Tony Romo: ‘This is Dak’s team’

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant worked with former quarterback Tony Romo for seven seasons. But after playing with quarterback Dak Prescott all of the 2016 season, Bryant has clearly moved on from Romo and is tired of all the questions about his former teammate.

When pressed by reporters at training camp about Romo, Bryant bluntly replied, “It’s a business,” via Jon Machota of Sports Day. “This is Dak’s team. It don’t feel no different.”

Bryant got even feistier about it all when another question came up about Romo minutes later.

“I can’t keep talking about that, Dak’s our quarterback. It’s no disrespect because I love that guy, but I can’t keep answering that question. I’m sorry.”

Yes. It is indeed time to move on. Speaking of moving on, Bryant had nothing but glowing comments to share when talking about his new quarterback.

“The guy is a monster. I’m not trying to put a lot of pressure on him, I’m just calling it how I see it. It can only get better for him. The guys around here support him. We love him.”

What is not to love about Prescott? He’s a model player, model citizen and a heck of a talented quarterback.

Prescott earned the right to call the Cowboys his own when the team decided it was best for its rookie to keep playing once Romo was cleared for action last year.

Romo doesn’t seem to carry any resentment, and Bryant sees no reason to dwell on the past. Prescott is the main man, and he is ready to dominate the NFC East and win the division once again.
