When Anthony Walker was a kid, he told his father that if he ever played in the NFL, he’d buy his old man a car. On Wednesday, that promise became a reality.

Walker, who wants to be an NFL general manager after his playing career, is not the first 2017 rookie to do something like this. Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson also bought his mother a car.
Athletes sometimes make a lot of bad, expensive purchases early in their careers. But giving back to the parents who gave so much to help make them pro athletes is quite noble.
