The Los Angeles Dodgers made big news right before the deadline when they acquired Yu Darvish from the Texas Rangers. Darvish’s new teammate Cody Bellinger was pleased with the move.
Shortly before his trade, Darvish posted a selfie of himself in front of his Rangers locker, emulating what Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander had already done. After the trade, Bellinger retweeted Darvish’ post, expressing happiness that Darvish will not be an opponent in 2017.

But keep in mind, Darvish is a free agent next year. So, there will be no matchups in 2017, but some could be forthcoming in 2018 and beyond.
