NFL looking into apparent Darron Lee altercation at festival

Darron Lee New York Jets

Over the weekend, a man who appeared to be New York Jets linebacker Darron Lee had to be forcibly removed from a situation in which he allegedly was attacking a woman.

After being removed once from the situation by multiple people, he allegedly made his way back to her and attempted to drag her away. Thankfully for all involved, Lee’s teammate Leonard Williams was there to remove him by quite literally picking him up and moving him out of the way (video here).

The Jets have said they are looking into it. And now the NFL is getting involved.

Though nobody was arrested in conjunction with this incident, it doesn’t mean much as far as the NFL is concerned. Lee could certainly end up being fined and/or suspended by the NFL if it deems the linebacker violated the league’s personal conduct policy.

Last year as a rookie out of Ohio State, the first-round pick totaled 70 tackles and one sack in 13 games.
