Free agent running back Karlos Williams has reportedly been suspended for “at least one year,” per Field Yates of ESPN.

The last we heard of Williams, he had been released by the Pittsburgh Steelers right around the start of free agency.

He received a four-game suspension in 2016 and then a 10-game suspension by the NFL for once again violating the league’s drug policy, and it stands to reason he’s violated that policy again, based on the terms of this latest suspension.

Originally a fifth-round pick out of Florida State by the Buffalo Bills, Williams showed some promise as a rookie. He rushed for 517 yards and seven touchdowns that year and hasn’t been able to play in a regular-season game since.
