The departure of Phil Jackson from the New York Knicks raises a natural question, who will replace him? One thing we know for sure is that it will not be former President of Basketball Operations Isiah Thomas.
Thomas had been discussed as a “dark horse candidate.” But he took to Twitter on Thursday to personally shoot down the rumor.
I'm not interested in joining @nyknicks. I'm happy with the @nyliberty & NBATV. I wish the best for the Knicks and @PhilJackson11

It’s hard to imagine many Knicks fans being too upset with this. New York has seen plenty of disastrous runs in recent years. It’s debatable that Thomas’ tenure with the Knicks was worse than any of those periods, but it certainly wasn’t any better.
