Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas is coming off a tremendous season that saw him enter the NBA MVP conversation. His Celtics were the top seed back east and were able to land the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft before moving it to Philadelphia.
On the court, life is good for Thomas.
This doesn’t mean that he plans on holding back from throwing shade in the direction of Boston’s Eastern Conference opponents. One such opportunity came up Wednesday when Indiana Pacers wing Lance Stephenson took to Instagram as a way to demandd Paul George remain with the team.

“We blasted y’all every game this year,” Thomas wrote. “Y’all are the last team I’m worried about my brotha.”
Ouch.
To be fair, Thomas isn’t necessarily wrong here. Boston swept Indiana in a three-game set this past season, winning by a total of 22 points in the process. The Pacers themselves were then swept out in the first round by Cleveland before Boston took the Cavaliers to five games in the Eastern Conference Finals.
For his part, George has already told the Pacers he will not re-sign with the team next summer. Since then, he’s been the subject of a plethora of trade rumors.
It will definitely be interesting to see how this ends. Though, we now have to be rooting for Indy to deal George to Boston. Because, why the heck not? Maybe he can bring Stephenson with him.
