Andrew Luck still has no timetable to begin throwing

Andrew Luck

The last thing the Indianapolis Colts want to do is rush quarterback Andrew Luck back into throwing after offseason shoulder surgery. At this time, there is still no timetable as to when Luck will be able to start slinging the pigskin around.

Luck had shoulder surgery to his right throwing arm back in January. The estimated timetable for a return was to have been six months. It’s now June and things still seem to be very much up in the air as to when Luck will be able to throw.

Luck has been hampered with various injuries since the 2015 season. He started 22 games between 2015-16. Both years, the Colts missed the playoffs. It has been quite the change of pace for a Colts team that made the postseason three years in a row from Luck’s rookie campaign in 2012 through 2014.

Fortunately, Luck is one of the tougher quarterbacks in the league. All the Colts can do is continue to monitor his condition and hope he is ready to resume practicing by the start of training camp in July.
