WATCH: John Wall hits game-winning three to force Game 7

John Wall

Legends are made in these situations. With his Washington Wizards down by two and less than four seconds remaining on Friday night, All-Star John Wall pulled up for what looked to be a desperation heave. Instead, Wall knocked in the three-pointer to give the Wizards a one-point lead.

A total of 3.7 seconds later, an Isaiah Thomas three would rim off, ultimately leading to a Game 7 matchup between the Boston Celtics and Wizards on Monday to decide who will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

However heroic Wall’s three might have been, back-court partner Bradley Beal aided in the Wizards’ late-game comeback. He hit a three with just over a minute left with the Wizards down five. All said, Wall and Beal combined for 59 of Washington’s 92 points in what was a do-or-die game for the team.

Meanwhile, Thomas finished with 27 points after missing two crunch-time shots down the stretch. Game 7 is on Monday at 8:00 PM ET in Boston.
