The Los Angeles Lakers are already working towards bettering themselves for the upcoming season. On Wednesday, the team announced the hiring of Gunnar Peterson, who will serve as the Director of Strength and Endurance Training.

The Lakers issued a statement on the hire.

“From his time in college at Duke University until now, Gunnar has pursued excellence in training and fitness,” said General Manager Rob Pelinka, per the team’s official website. “Gunnar is a true pioneer and visionary at his craft, and will bring a new mentality to our weight room which we are all very excited about. Since Magic and I have worked with Gunnar in the past, we have a strong relationship with him, which makes working together now feel seamless.”

Worth noting is Peterson is also Kim and Khloe Kardashian’s personal trainer. The Kardashian sisters are famous for their voluptuous lower halves and buns of steel. We can imagine the Lakers players are in for quite the lunging and crunching sessions in the coming months.

Peterson has also worked with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, quarterback Russell Wilson, his wife Ciara and wide receiver Antonio Brown, according to a report by TMZ Sports.

There is not a one among this crowd of names who is not in tip-top, excellent physical shape.

Peterson is a certified Strength and Conditioning  Specialist.
