Darrelle Revis will not face NFL discipline after assault charges were dropped

NFL free agent cornerback Darrelle Revis will not face league discipline after felony assault charges against him were dropped.

ESPN’s Rich Cimini reported this news first.

“…Darrelle Revis no longer faces the possibility of NFL discipline stemming from felony assault charges that were dismissed in March by a Pittsburgh judge, a league spokesman said Monday,” wrote Cimini.

Revis was accused of being involved in an attack that left two men unconscious back in February. He faced four felony charges and one misdemeanor stemming from this incident that were later dropped by a judge in March after he turned himself into police.

The former All-Pro cornerback was released by the Jets at the end of February and has yet to receive much interest around the NFL. Perhaps now that he’s officially been cleared by the NFL Revis will find a job before training camp.
