Before Sunday’s Boston Red Sox versus Minnesota Twins game had concluded, Chris Sale had already made a bit of MLB history.
Striking out 10 batters for the sixth consecutive game, Sale joined MLB legends Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson and Nolan Ryan as the only pitchers in league history to accomplish such a feat.

Though this streak has included a bit of foul play involving Manny Machado, we can all agree that what Sale is doing when he’s not throwing behind a guy is simply marvelous.
During this current streak of six games, Chris Sale has logged 66 strikeouts at the time of this article, through six innings in the game against the Twins. He’s on an exceptional tear to start the 2017 season, entering Sunday’s game with a 1.92 ERA in addition to his strikeout numbers.
