Steve Kerr on Kevin Durant: ‘He’s clearly making progress’

Kevin Durant

There’s still no timetable for Kevin Durant’s return after he suffered a sprained MCL in a game against the Washington Wizards late last month.

Though, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr gave us a pretty positive update on the progress Durant is making.

“He’s clearly making progress. It’s great,” Kerry said prior to Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks, via CSN Bay Area.

Durant is expected to travel with the team on its upcoming road trip, which includes a game against his former Oklahoma City Thunder squad. He’s already graduated from taking shots while sitting down to stationary set shots on the court. That’s definitely a good sign.

Durant will be re-evaluated in 10 days time, so there will likely be a more concrete update at that point. The expectation all along is that the former MVP will be able to return towards the end of the regular season.

Golden States boasts a pedestrian 5-4 record with Durant out of action this season. In games Durant has played in, the team is a remarkable 49-10.
