Myles Garrett wants to sack Tom Brady, calls himself Peyton Manning fan

Myles Garrett

We can pretty much cross the New England Patriots off the list of teams that might select Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett in the 2017 NFL Draft.

In speaking to reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Saturday, the consensus No. 1 player in the draft claimed that Tom Brady is the quarterback he would most like to sack at the next level. Garrett also added that he was a Peyton Manning fan.

“Tom Brady,” Garrett said when asked who he wants to sack the most, pointing out the following for clarity sake. “I’m a Peyton Manning fan.”

Garrett didn’t make any fans in New England with this comment. Though, we’re pretty sure he doesn’t care.

The stud defensive end had a tremendous day in the weight room on Saturday, posting 33 reps at 225 pounds. For comparison’s sake, that’s one less than J.J. Watt put up at the 2011 combine and a dozen more than Von Miller tallied the same year.

Garrett will likely be the first overall pick of the Cleveland Browns. This means he’ll surely have an opportunity to take Brady down here in the near future.
