Former North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky raised eyebrows ever so slightly during the combine when he asked to be called “Mitchell” going forward.

Though it isn’t something really alarming, some within the NFL community certainly must have wondered if the sudden shift signaled an eccentric side to the young quarterback.
On Tuesday at his pro day, Trubisky cleared up the whole thing and invited “Mitch” back into the conversation.

One cannot help but wonder if he wasn’t advised to make the switch back after attending the combine.
After all, given his very slim resume at college and the fact that teams could be wary of drafting him high as a result, it’s important to dispel any notion of fragility or eccentricity — two qualities that won’t necessarily be well received in an NFL locker room.
