Kenny Stills: Dolphins ‘going to do something special’

Kenny Stills

The Florida air seems to suit Miami Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills to a T. After catching a career-best nine touchdowns in 2016, Stills and the Dolphins agreed to a four-year, $32 million deal in the early days of free agency.

Since the signing, Stills had nothing but wonderful things to say about the team he joined in 2015.

“I wanted to be here,” Stills said, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. “I think we’re going to do something special here. I believe in the staff. I believe in the owner. I believe in every person that’s in our building, and I love Miami and I love the people here. So I wanted to stay here and do something special for them.”

Stills might just be right. The Dolphins distanced themselves well ahead of the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets to claim second place in the AFC East. They won 10 games, which was the most the franchise has accomplished since 2008.

It is always difficult to compete within the division that houses the New England Patriots. But if the Dolphins keep up the pace, they’ll be in a great position to make the postseason for the second year in a row in 2017.

Stills personally seems to have found his perfect setting. He started in all 16 games for the first time in his NFL career that is going on five years and meshed extremely well with Ryan Tannehill.
